Method for testing the toughness of liquid plastic aluminum-plastic composite film packaging

Abstract: The toughness of liquid fertilizer packaging determines whether the product is easily damaged during transportation and storage. Typically, this is verified by testing the tensile strength and elongation of the package. In this paper XLW (PC) intelligent electronic tensile testing machine tensile strength and elongation of the plastic composite film bags used for liquid manure is detected, in order to evaluate the flexibility properties of the sample and by the test equipment and procedure The description of parameters, principles and other information provides a reference for enterprises to test the toughness of liquid fertilizer packaging.

1. significance

Liquid fertilizer products are bulky, volatile and need to be protected from light. Therefore, their packaging should have good toughness and good shading performance. At present, liquid fertilizers are generally packaged in plastic cans or aluminum-plastic composite film bags. If the bag has poor toughness, that is, the tensile strength and elongation of the package are poor, the liquid fertilizer is liable to be damaged or leaked due to mutual squeezing or falling during transportation and storage. Therefore, production enterprises should strengthen the monitoring of the toughness of liquid fertilizer packaging bags, enhance their tensile strength and elongation, and ensure the effective shelf life of the products. In this paper, the strength and toughness of the aluminum-plastic composite film used in liquid fertilizer are evaluated by measuring the tensile strength and other properties.

3. Detection basis

For testing the tensile strength of plastic films or sheets, refer to the test standard GB/T 1040.3-2006 " Determination of tensile properties of plastics - Part 3 : Test conditions for films and sheets" .

4 , test equipment

4.1 Test principle

The sample is clamped between the two chucks of the clamp, and the two chucks are moved relative to each other. The force value sensor and the built-in displacement sensor on the movable chuck are used to collect the force value change and displacement during the test. Change, and thus calculate the tensile, tearing, deformation rate and other performance indicators of the sample.

4.2 Scope of application

(1) The equipment can be used for tensile strength and elongation, tensile properties, tensile strength, puncture resistance, tear resistance, peel strength performance, heat seal strength and other properties of plastic film, sheet and other materials. 4.3 Equipment parameters

5. Test process

(1) Cut 5 specimens each with a width of 15 mm and a length of 200 mm along the transverse and longitudinal directions of the sample with a cutter .

(2) The two ends of the sample are respectively clamped on the upper and lower chucks of the device, and the long axis direction of the sample should coincide with the center line of the upper and lower clamps.

(3) Set parameter information such as test speed and sample width.

(4) Click the test start option and the test starts. The instrument automatically calculates and displays the test results of Zui.

6. Test results

The aluminum-plastic composite film packaging bag tested in this test has a transverse tensile breaking force of 110.346 N , a tensile strength of 63.969 MPa , an elongation at break of 176.13 % , a longitudinal tensile breaking force of 131.225 N and a tensile strength of 75.027 MPa . The elongation is 49.36% . It can be seen from the results that the package used in the product has good toughness.
