Several hormone herbicides

Plant hormones regulate plant growth, differentiation, flowering and maturation. Some herbicides can act on endogenous hormones in plants and have a wide range of effects on almost all physiological and biochemical processes in plants. Hormonal herbicides are characterized by promoting plant growth at low concentrations, inhibiting growth at high concentrations, and poisoning plants at higher concentrations.

There are five types of hormone-based herbicides that have been used in production.

First, phenoxy carboxylic acids. Varieties such as 2,4-D butyl ester, 2 A 4 sodium chloride. The pathway of action is similar to that of indole acetic acid. Trace amounts of 2,4-D can promote plant growth. At high concentrations, differentiation of meristems is inhibited. Elongation growth stops and plants grow laterally, resulting in swelling of roots and stems. Dissolving tissue causes death of the plant.

Second, benzoic acid. Varieties such as dicamba (hundred grass enemy). There is also a role similar to indole acetic acid, which can lead to the plant's apical growth and leaf formation, tissue hyperplasia, and plant growth malformation.

Triquinoline carboxylic acids. Varieties such as quinclorac (quick killing), chloroquinolinic acid. Can effectively promote the biosynthesis of ethylene, resulting in the accumulation of a large number of abscisic acid, resulting in shrinkage of pores, reduced water evaporation, reduced carbon dioxide absorption, plant growth slows down. Interestingly, quinclorac can effectively control valerian, and chloroquine quinolinic acid can effectively control swine fever.

Fourth, thiazole carboxylic acids. Varieties such as grass removal spirit (Gotke). After application, it is absorbed by the leaves and transported to the entire plant body. The symptoms of weed poisoning are: stagnation of growth, dark green leaves, thickening and rewinding, distortion of new leaves, shortening of internodes, and finally death. The temperature is high and the temperature is low.

V. Pyridine Oxyacetates. Varieties such as fluoxyline (make it long), triclopyr (cap irrigation) and so on. Immediately after application, it is absorbed by the plants and transmitted to all parts of the plant, making the sensitive plants deformed and distorted. As for its specific mechanism of action, it is still unclear.
