GSK has again caught overseas bribery scandal
After taking bribery allegations in China and Iraq, British pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline once again fell into an overseas corruption scandal as bribery doctors face criminal investigations.
According to the BBC news survey program "Wide Angle Mirror," from 2010 to 2012, GlaxoSmithKline promoted its anti-asthma drug, Shridi, by bribing a Polish doctor. The Central Anti-corruption Bureau of Poland stated that there are currently 13 people involved in the case.
In a statement issued on the same day, GlaxoSmith argued that from 2010 to 2012, GlaxoSmithKline launched a project in Poland aimed at helping to improve the diagnostic level and medical training for Poland. The doctor, GlaxoSmithKline, "remunerated according to its scope of work and professionalism". After the project was accused in the Lodz region of Poland in 2011, GlaxoSmithKline conducted an investigation and found that an employee had violated GSK's policy of “inappropriate communication†and was given a penalty. GlaxoSmithKline stated that it will continue to investigate such incidents and is fully cooperating with the Polish Central Anti-Corruption Bureau.

In a statement issued on the 14th, GlaxoSmithKline said that the company is changing the remuneration of sales representatives, and stopped paying for doctors to participate in medical conferences and other activities.
