National Scallion Price Increase Increased to 66.7%

According to the Xinhua News Agency's national agricultural and sideline products and agricultural materials price system monitoring, compared with the previous day, on March 14th, the price of vegetables was mainly increased; the price of mutton rose; the price of pork decreased; the prices of fruits, aquatic products and edible oils were slightly lower. Fluctuations in amplitude; prices of eggs, finished foods, and milk are basically stable.

The prices of pigs' hip and tipped pork and pork belly all decreased by 0.2%; the price of fresh boneless lamb and boned fresh lamb rose by 0.4% and 0.1% respectively, and the price of calf meat decreased by 0.1%. The price of calf meat was flat.

The monitoring data shows that, unlike the trend in previous years, the price of Chinese green onions has continued to rise since mid-February. Compared with February 10, on March 14th, the price of Chinese green onions increased by 22.9%. From a regional point of view, the prices of welsh onions monitored in all provinces, regions, and cities have risen. Beijing, Shandong, Shanxi, and Hebei have risen by the top of the list, between 44.1% and 64.0%. Inner Mongolia, Liaoning, Jilin, Henan, Guangdong, and Hainan have all recorded gains. 30.0%, of which the prices of green onions in Beijing and Hainan are all above 5 yuan per catty. At present, the year-on-year increase in scallion prices in the country has continued to increase. The price rose by 66.7% year-on-year on March 14.
