NASA uses FluorPen for space biology experiments

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Advanced Plant Habitat (APH) arrives at the International Space Station with the Alliance MS-04 cargo spacecraft, and plans to develop plant physiology and space food plantation ( growth of fresh food in space ). Research.
NASA's Kennedy Space Center uses a probe-type FluorPen chlorophyll fluorescence meter to measure space plant growth adaptability.

Chlorophyll fluorescence is a sensitive probe for plant photosynthesis, and FluorPen is the chlorophyll fluorescence measuring instrument with the highest integration, top technology, comprehensive functions and wide application. It has become the “Swiss Army Knife” of chlorophyll fluorescence technology, OJIP-test, chlorophyll fluorescence quenching. Complete protocols such as extinction, photoresponse curves, and Kautsky-inducing effects are available in cell phone-sized instruments. FluorPen is combined with another series of handheld hyperspectral instruments (SpectraPen, PolyPen) to comprehensively measure plant photosynthetic physiological status, physiological and biochemical indicators, stress and resistance.
FluorCam chlorophyll fluorescence technology further analyzes the photosynthetic physiological state of plants on a two-dimensional scale, and combines with hyperspectral imaging technology to become the most important technical means for high-throughput and non-invasive research on plant phenotypes.
